Read How Ask SRS WorksThe purpose of the platform
Ask Syed Raheel Shahzad is not an open social-media wall. It is a moderated reader platform connected to books, systems thinking, faith, philosophy, meaning, identity, research, human responsibility and serious intellectual discussion.
The aim is to create a useful public archive of questions, answers, discussions, essays and official notes. Participation should serve clarity, not noise.
Submit questions, comments and discussions that add meaning, thought, evidence, reflection or genuine inquiry.
Disagreement is allowed. Abuse, mockery, personal attacks and harassment are not.
Keep submissions connected to the topic, book, question, discussion or platform purpose.
What is encouraged
Ask SRS welcomes contributions that improve the quality of the platform and help readers think more clearly.
- Serious questions connected to books, meaning, faith, identity, systems thinking or human responsibility.
- Respectful disagreement that explains its reasoning.
- Useful references, examples, sources or thoughtful observations.
- Reader reflections that add clarity rather than noise.
- Discussions that open a genuine topic for others to think about.
- Essays or articles written with structure, seriousness and editorial care.
- Questions that may become future official answers, notes, live topics or book-related discussions.
What is not allowed
Ask SRS may reject, edit, remove, close or block material that harms the platform’s purpose or violates community standards.
- Spam, advertising, backlink requests, promotional posts or unrelated marketing.
- Abusive language, harassment, threats, personal attacks or mocking behaviour.
- Hate speech, sectarian abuse, racist language or dehumanising remarks.
- Low-effort comments such as repeated slogans, insults, copied spam or empty provocation.
- False identity claims, impersonation or misleading representation.
- Defamatory, unlawful or reckless accusations against individuals or organisations.
- Private, confidential, sensitive or personal information shared without permission.
- Graphic, obscene, exploitative or unsafe material.
- Attempts to disrupt, scrape, overload, hack or misuse the platform.
Moderation rules
Ask SRS is moderated. A submission, comment, essay or discussion may be held for review before appearing publicly. Publication is not automatic.
Moderators may:
- Approve, reject, edit, reformat, close or remove submissions.
- Correct formatting, spelling or readability issues.
- Move a submission into a better category or discussion area.
- Remove links, spam, repetition or irrelevant material.
- Close discussions that become unproductive or abusive.
- Hold sensitive submissions for further review.
Moderation is not censorship of serious disagreement. It is protection of the platform’s purpose.
Disagreement standard
Disagreement is allowed and can be valuable. But disagreement must be expressed with discipline.
- Address the idea, not the person.
- Explain your reasoning instead of only reacting.
- Use evidence where relevant.
- Do not turn discussion into insult, sarcasm, mockery or accusation.
- Do not derail a topic into unrelated arguments.
A strong disagreement can be approved if it is serious, respectful and relevant.
Questions, discussions and essays
Questions
Questions should be clear, sincere and serious. A question may be answered publicly, held for review, converted into a discussion topic, connected to a book page, or left open for reader discussion.
Discussions
Discussions should open a topic worth thinking about. They should not be used for spam, casual noise, abuse, or repeated low-quality posting.
Essays
Essays should be structured, readable and original. They may be edited, rejected or returned for revision if they do not meet the platform standard.
Account conduct
Registered user accounts and dashboards now allow readers to track questions, discussions, essays, comments and replies. Account access is a privilege, not a right.
Accounts may be limited, suspended or removed if they are used for spam, abuse, impersonation, repeated rule violations, platform disruption or dishonest conduct.
Reporting and contact

Final rule
Ask SRS exists for serious contribution. Before submitting, ask whether your contribution adds clarity, meaning, structure, evidence, reflection or genuine inquiry.
If it does, it belongs here. If it only adds noise, it does not.
